Pet Limo Service: We offer the Pet Limo Service so that you don't have to drive your pet to our office. We pick him or her up and then drive them home at a scheduled time. In-house Laboratory: For your added convenience, we have an integrated lab, which is where most of our diagnostic work is performed. This includes culture and sensitivities, urinalysis, heartworm and fecal tests. These tests are performed and interpreted on a daily basis. Pharmacy: We also have an extensive in-house, price comparable pharmacy to fill your pet's prescriptions, saving you a trip to the pharmacy. Exam room: These rooms are the most important in your pet's health care. Exam rooms give us a place to discuss with you the health care of your pet. The treatment room is the center of our hospital where full exams and medical treatment can be performed safely and completely. Anesthesia: If your pet requires surgery, the first step is a pre-anesthetic examination. We commonly use gas anesthesia machines which provide a safe sleep for your pet. Vital statistics are continuously monitored during the procedure. Digital Radiographs: Commonly referred to as x-rays, are often a very important diagnostic tool for the veterinarian. Our state-of-the-art digital x-ray system was recently installed, and has given our Doctors some amazing advantages over traditional x-rays! Government standards are closely followed to ensure your pet and our staff the maximum radiation safety. We have the ability to radiograph all parts of the body if needed including your pet's teeth and mouth, just as your dentist might do for you. Ultrasound: The latest ultrasound technology is also available. Our doctors can see into the body using sound waves. This technology can detect tumors, foreign bodies or obstructions confirming or eliminating the need for surgery. Treatment Area: The treatment room is the center of our hospital, where full examinations and treatments can be performed safely and completely. Dentistry: Another important aspect of pet health is dental care. We routinely perform dental cleanings and polishings, most of which are performed under anesthesia for the comfort of your pet. Our veterinarians are also skilled in many dental procedures including tooth extraction, root canals, fillings and dental x-rays. Operating Room Suite: Just like a people hospital our animal hospital has an operating room. We use aseptic procedures, monitoring equipment and good lighting to help assure your pet the best possible surgical care. Day at the Spa: You want your pet to look his or her best and our groomers are very skilled in their profession. All breeds and all sizes have been trimmed, given pedicures and bathed... a day at the spa! Our technicians are also skilled at giving baths and flea treatments for both cats and dogs. Playtime: While staying with us for boarding, your pets have an extra option for fun ... playtime! Both cats and dogs enjoy a one-on-one play session with a Camp Counselor in our specially designed playtime areas. In the summer, the dog area even includes a wading pool for the water lovers. Camp Cobb: While staying with us for boarding, your pet will have food prepared especially for him or her by our staff. That way, your pet's tummy will be as happy as he or she is when you come home! "Cobb's General Store": We have many commonly needed pet foods and other pet care products available in our clinic, including a wide selection of Lupine leashes and collars. We also carry Hill's Science Diet regular and prescription foods. These are products that we use and trust! Library: As in any medial profession, the science of veterinary medicine is continually improving and updating itself. Our library is a source of information readily available to us with up-to-date journals, tapes and references. Even after eight years of college, the education of a veterinarian never stops. Twenty hours or more of continuing education classes and seminars are required each year per doctor to keep up with this advancing science. Laser surgery: Laser surgery offers a great advantage to our patients. Laser uses a beam of light to simultaneously cut tissue, cauterize blood vessels and seal nerve endings. The result is less swelling, less bleeding, lower risk of infection and most importantly - less pain for your pet. offers a great advantage to our patients.
